Younger son of Mr James Young, J.P., Bromley (formerly of Londonderry).

Lieutenant Young’s machine was brought down two miles within German lines while he was up patrolling on January 12, 1918. Three days later he was officially described as missing. Three weeks later a regulation German Government Card was sent, dated from Limburg, 15th January, 1918, stating he was a prisoner of war and wounded. Official intimation of his death two days later subsequently came to hand.
