Fourth son of William, and brother of Anne Beatty, 12, De Burgh Terrace, Londonderry.

Thomas Beatty was a member of Second Derry (Strand Road) Presbyterian Church. Previously in the office of Messrs. Hogg & Mitchell, Londonderry, he emigrated to Canada some ten years before his death, where he held a position in the Canadian Northern Estate Office, Winnipeg. His brother, Richard, who was also in Canada at the outbreak of the Great War, enlisted in the Canadian Cavalry, and served at the Front.
